I absolutely loved
’s wrapped newsletter last month. I thought it was such a fun way to look back on the year and reflect on tiny details that aren’t so tiny to the person behind their newsletter. As a reader, it’s also a great way to support and cheer on other writers. I have yet to figure out how Substack populates newsletters for who I follow. It seems if I miss one, Substack doesn’t do a good job of showing me their newsletters in the app. I wish this wasn’t the case!In 2024, All The Above gained 404 new subscribers. All The Above is read in 43 states and 37 countries.

2024 Favorites
We’re getting into tricky territory because I don’t want to say everything is my favorite — but it truly feels like it. I’ve done my best to narrow it down as much as I could.
Favorite Outfit
I keep coming back to this outfit. I cannot get enough of it. I think it’s partly because I remember this day so vividly — the memories we tie to our clothes often influence how we feel. It was probably one of my favorite days in Paris back in October.
This cardigan is one of the most versatile pieces I own. The shape and lightweight material lends themselves well to this piece being worn normally, over the shoulders, as a scarf, etc. I also cannot stop wearing and talking about these pants to anyone who listens — they’ve become my favorite non-denim pants.

Top 12 Favorite Purchases
I tried to narrow this down to 10 items, but it felt impossible to strike the last two from the list. Honestly, I am surprised I was able to narrow it down to 12 because there are many more items that I just adore. I made sure the items on this list were at least 1+ month old.

I wore these so much during the summer. They are an elevated take on flip flops. The square toe helps give it just a bit of zhuzh that makes me feel slightly more put together.
I only got to wear these for a short stint before the weather got a little too cold, but they are buttery soft. I waited a year to buy these and they were worth the wait. They were also on sale, what’s not to love?!
Ariana Boussard Riefel Earrings
I originally saw these in a store while roaming South Congress in Austin and I recall immediately wishing I had bought them. Ariana herself saw my story and she said she’d make me a pair even though these had been discontinued. This was the first pair of elevated earrings that I intentionally started building an earring collection with.
I didn’t expect to love a body hugging dress as much as I love this one. I put it on and felt instantly beautiful. The weight is perfect, it sits so nicely on your curves and it drapes beautifully. So much so that I bought it in two colors. Another dress I cannot wait to pull out this Summer.
A newsletter dedicated to this button down is in the works! I fear I have unlocked a love for this fit that I cannot come back from. My wallet is not prepared for this new addiction.
I can still recall the “wow” I let out after my hair air dried with this serum for the first time. A must have for Summer — especially if your hair is on the wavy/curlier side.
I love a denim jacket and earlier this year when I saw this boxy 60’s inspired ranchwear jacket I knew it’d be the perfect addition to my closet. It has accompanied me on many trips since and it’s the perfect jacket to throw on when I need an extra layer.

It’s an easy breezy dress that I could just throw on during the summer. I cannot wait to rewear it again. I can also see myself throwing a sweater over this as a transitional piece during the Spring.
I almost didn’t include these because I know I recently included them in my Fall Lookback article, but they do deserve a shout out here. They are incredibly comfortable for having so little support. I can wear them on long walks and my feet feel great.
I love a good striped piece of clothing and it all started with these trousers. I loved wearing these in the Summer for when I wanted to wear something that was more structured. They are a cotton linen blend so they are perfect for the Summer heat. I am itching for warmer weather just so I can wear these again.
Silver Cuff
I purchased this in CDMX and it’s one piece of jewelry I’ve been reaching for consistently ever since. Most recently, I’ve loved wearing it over my sweater’s cuff.
I bought this while in Mexico City and it quickly became a staple for me during the summer when I wanted to feel a bit more elevated. I love the straps and how you can change up the way you wear them/let them hang. I’m also at the point where I am looking for pieces that have a slight twist to a typical silhouette and this one fits the bill.
An Item At The Top of My 2025 Wishlist
When I was in New York, I walked into Freda Salvador’s store to get an idea of sizing for a few of their flats. While I was there, I saw a sales associate with these boots and I decided to try them on a whim.
I quickly fell in love with the look, how comfortable they were and how chic I felt. They unfortunately didn’t have my size and I knew there was not enough time for me to order them before our move to Paris. On my next trip back to the states, I will be ordering these! Currently on sale and I’m having a bit of FOMO.

Substacks I read religiously this year:
- — Every Monday Kelly drops her latest wisdom on us and it’s truly my favorite read of the week. It’s always filled with so much goodness. If I was forced to choose, this would be my top pick from her this year: Flash Some Skin.
- — Maria’s writing feels like a conversation with a friend, as if we were meeting up weekly to grab a matcha to catch up. I love all of her series, but my favorite is “Was it worth it?” She looks back on what she previously bought and gives you the low down on her thoughts many months post purchase.
- is one of my favorite influencers. She has the coolest style that always leaves me feeling so inspired. I love how she plays with color, texture, patterns, etc. She’s not afraid to be bold and she does it incredibly well.
- — has so many incredible nuggets of wisdom on her newsletter and Instagram. She has so many great series, but one of my favorites is when she does outfit roundups on how to style various pieces. I get so much inspiration from her. She recently published this insanely good article on knits.
Happy New Year!! I wish you the most prosperous 2025 and that all your wishes come true. I’m not participating in any official New Year’s Resolutions, but I am excited to be officially cleared by my doctor to start working out again. I’ll definitely be getting one everyday since the Airbnb we just moved into is on the 6th floor and doesn’t have an elevator. If you have one, I’d love to know what it is!
If you have newsletters you love to read, drop them below — I am looking to add more to my reading list!
Also, I cannot thank you enough for your support this year. This weekly ritual has brought me so much joy this year. Thank you for giving me this platform and allowing me to land in your inbox each week. It is my greatest honor!
If you feel inclined, I’d love to know what you’d like to see more of in 2025!

Loveee this recap and am obsessed with those earrings on you. They're stunning! So honoured about this shout out because I feel the same way about you and your writing! Your newsletter is one of my favourite reads, too, and I can always count on you to introduce me to interesting brands I haven't heard of before. Happy New Years, and I hope you're settling in nicely in Paris! x
I love your substack so much; the fashion, the photography, the thoughtfulness. You are a very favorite of mine and I immediately open everything you write.
Also, you helped me find Meg at Pie for Breakfast and she really is great!!
