Your mini corduroy skirt sounds dreamy! I love hearing about how people pack for trips.
I recently wrote about the packing mistakes I made for a trip to Japan… I thought it would be way colder than it was. What ended up saving me were the basics I bring on every trip (tank top, Frank & Eileen relaxed button up, lightweight trousers, silk dress). I basically wore two outfits the entire trip 😅
That's how I felt with my coat in Paris. After a few days of realizing I was just overheating, I stopped wearing it until the temp dropped even further.
Those are all great pieces that can be easily mixed and matched. I felt like I wore one of my cardigans at least 3 different ways each week. Also a great sign of some great purchases :)
my "trick" to not getting bored is 3 parts: big silk scarves (i may have a problem/obsession with a certain luxury brand started by my mother in law rest in peace), earrings, and lipsticks. changes everything about an outfit and takes up literally no space in your bag a weighs nothing ;)
Your Mother In Law sounds like she was a wonderful woman :)
I love the idea of a big silk scarf! I don't one, but I do own smaller scarves that you're reminding me that I need reach for more often. Also, +1 to accessories!! I think they can change up a look so much.
The thing about the bigger scarves: they are also hair accessories, bracelets, necklaces and belts. You can also go Annie Hall-ish and tie one like a loose necktie. Total game changer. Bonus Hack: for using one as a headband…Bobby pins. Pin the hair first then add the scarf and pin that. Holds everything in place ;) seriously with hoop earrings instant chic!
WHEW girl your style sense is so very good. I loved the idea of "what I missed" because it goes towards a large component of "what are the pieces that we don't realize we love." It's easy to pack your favorites but there are the sneaky pieces that help a ton.
PS- all the images of the layered sweaters is seriously inspiring me. When I am able to layer tonal sweaters together I will be thanking Ofelia.

Totally! Traveling really shows you which pieces are most valuable in your wardrobe.
Most definitely! I’ll have to go read yours about Japan :)

You have the best ideas, Tamara!! I also love using a scarf tied around the handle on a purse. I find them so cuteee!

Kelly!! 🥹🥹 the best compliment coming from you!!
Yes, 1000%! There are sneaky pieces that make a huge impact on how we dress and sometimes we don’t even realize it.
