I have saved (or rather not spent!) so much money by adding to a wishlist/clicking on the heart icon INSTEAD of actually buying. Or most times I just add to cart and then walk away. When I go back to the site, sometimes weeks later, I look at what’s in my cart and 9/10 times I say, “phew. So glad I didn’t actually buy that”. I think it’s the act of pretend buying that feels good at the moment…I may need a therapist 🤣

yes!! I do the same, I think having somewhere to “add” the things we like often gives us the same feeling of buying something. It’s like a dopamine hit! And if you need a therapist then I do too!! lol

Loved this! Are you using any AI tools to find your wishlist items secondhand? Ex: Beni chrome extension to find secondhand items of your fav brands, Encore like ChatGPT for secondhand searches, ThredUp image search, etc.

I am not! I am typically searching resale sites I'm familiar with to look for items I'm interested in.

Yes to all of this! I started getting really intentional with my wishlists a few years ago when I started to feel like I was losing track of what I liked vs loved and then forgetting about it entirely (and buying something totally random instead) so couldn’t agree more!

Yes!! I like to keep two lists - one for wishlists and noteworthy items. Sometimes items move across them based on how I'm feeling.

Glad it resonated! 🫶🏽 it’s a great reminder for me too.

Love creating wishlists - helps with the "shopping bug" as you can plan to spend your money on the item that is at the top of your wishlist!

Yes, same! I honestly love the planning part so much. I sometimes get the same type of serotonin boost from planning my wishlist as actually buying something.
