Very much relate on the husband note. He’s the toughest to shop for since it now feels like everything we like is a total luxury 🥲 it’s a blessing. This year, we decided both sides of the family would just do a secret Santa so we can all have wish lists and request what we actually want. Not sure yet if I feel like it zaps the creativity, or if I like how practical it is!
We've done this for a few years and it's actually super helpful! We typically add more than enough (read: I add lol) that there is still an element of surprise. I prefer it because it helps reduce things we don't want/have use for.
We actually do a Secret Santa with my husband's family and get the kids gifts. I'm trying to convince everyone to do White Elephant - the stealing part adds to the fun haha
