Coucou, boo! I am so excited that you suggested these books, I needed it. I’ve been trying to read instead of being on my socials and I think it’s maybe positively affecting my mental health. Petition to start a world wide book club! In English please, because I know absolutely no French but I think it’s so cool you’re learning.
That'd be so fun!! I've been trying to do the same, I'm trying to remind myself I use to read 30+ books a year and now I'm lucky to finish one a month. Of course, I've acquired more hobbies since, but still! If there are books you've read, let me know :)
Ahh so many exciting updates!! Congrats on the new apartment and Sephora vid! I love these updates of yours. So glad you're enjoying the White Lotus podcast - can't wait to chat about the newest season with you. Also, I love your scarf inspiration. Do you ever wear larger silk scarves? I have an Hermes 90 one that was gifted to me by my mom and sister-in-law and I love it, but I have such trouble finding ways to incorporate it into my outfits. Secretly hoping you do an upcoming post on different ways you wear/style your neck scarves. xx
Thank you so much! We’re super excited to finally have a permanent place. I currently don’t own any larger scarves, but I do want to add a 65 and 90 down the line. A common way I’ve seen it incorporated has been as an accessory on a bag or even as a “belt” over a blazer or something more structured around the waist. Once I do, I definitely will :)
Alliance Française has been the best I've found and I know they have lots of locations across the world. They also have options in person, hybrid or online. I recently learned they offer oral only classes if you feel like your grammar is all set. Everything is divided by levels that is based on how many hours you sign up for that month. If you're intermediate/advanced you'd probably fall within B1/B2 but you'll take a placement test to get placed in the appropriate classroom.
If you live in Paris, I can provide some alternative locations as well!
Thank you! Yes, I am planning to travel to Paris for a few weeks, and AF seems sold and reliable. And yes, I am probably most interested in oral work/pronunciation; I am rusty! I've looked at the AF website and it seems like I have to register for a class first, and then take the placement test. But...I think I am C1, there are fewer courses offered, and I would need to know the dates before I register. Having a hard time getting the answers I need. So, I will continue to check them out, any other solid classes would be appreciated. I am relying enjoying reading your (new to me) site. Thank you!
Alternatively, EDAM and French As You Like It are two other options that have great reviews. The latter might be more flexible, but definitely check out both!
Eee congrats on the new apartment!! I hope that you’ll give us peeks of it as you settle in. I am a MASSIVE fan of buckwheat and wish more goodies in the US were made from it because it’s actually much easier on glucose spikes (which I aim for).
Thank you so much, Kelly!! ❤️ I am excited to get it all situated. If you haven't already, next time you're in France definitely try buckwheat crêpes!!
Coucou! And congrats on the apartment…that’s huge!! ❤️
hehe thank you ❤️❤️
You are gorgeous! That shot of you in the red gloves in one for the ages.
Thank you for your kind comment, Neela ❤️❤️ made my day!!

Ah yes, you do have to select which schedule you’d like to take it to get the exam. There might be an alternative way to do so.
I had luck via this email in case you want to give it a try: scolarite@alliancefr.org
