My husband and I love walkable cities too but with two kids now, we are enjoying the quiet suburbs. My sister-in-law lives there, so we are hoping to visit soon. I'm a bagel girl, so I highly look forward to that part of the trip.

My husband is also a bagel connoisseur, so every time we’re in town we have to visit several shops for him to get his fill. The same with sandwiches! He says they’re not the same.

When’s your favorite time to visit? Would love to hear your favorites for the next time we’re in town!

We've visited during all four seasons now and I have to say my favourites are fall and spring, with winter (because Xmas lights!) a close second. We love going to Locanda Verde in Tribeca for dinner (their sheep's milk ricotta is the best) and Pastis for brunch. The Comedy Cellar is also so fun for an outing - really intimate and have seen some great acts there! Anndd now, I want to go back to NYC! lol

Agreed, the Christmas lights are beautiful even if I feel like my toes are freezing at all times! I’ll save those for the next time we’re in NYC. They sound delicious! Also surprised we’ve never been to a comedy club while in NYC.

Haha same!! It’s currently starting to hit 90 degrees where I live and I could use a bit more spring.

I miss the bagels so much. Idk why they're so good in NYC. My husband and I made the mistake of buying bagels a week after we returned from the trip and we were so disappointed 😅
