Ofelia your writing is such a treat! It really felt like I was exploring along with you. This is my first introduction to this region and am definitely adding to my travel list. These photos are swoon worthy!
This was a beautiful feature to read, it made me miss France ☺️🤍 I also adore all the beautiful analog photos you took! It looks like such a dreamy trip
Sighhhh what I wouldn't give to be a guest of yours in Paris to explore the city and Loire Valley with. Your photos feel like they are from another time (obviously the benefit of film) and I'm seriously romanticizing a stay in a Chateau now.
PS- you look amazing in that gingham dress! I'm seeing all the trend reporting around gingham and I can proudly say, YOU DID IT FIRST😉
I LOVE the Loire. I spent a lot of summers there as a kid and revisited as an adult a couple of years ago. We stayed near Amboise and then Chinon and loved it. Great pace of life (and of course, wine) and it never felt too busy, even at the height of summer. I'm desperate to spend more time there, thank you for this post!
That sounds so lovely, Angharad! I'll look up Chinon for our next visit. I adored Amboise!! It was so quaint and the views were incredible. I'm also with you - I want to explore more small and quiet towns in the French countryside. Especially if it includes a relaxing day wandering around and enjoying it with our loved ones.
Hi ! I grew up in the Loire Valley and jumped on your piece when I saw the title in my notifications 🤓
You managed to plan a quite perfect 48-hour trip 😍
For those who have 24 more hours, I would suggest to go west and visit Saumur and the village of Candes Saint Martin. The Loire river is even broader and has even more majesty when you head west. Get ready for crazy sunsets. If you are a wine enthusiast and are looking for somewhere to stay, the Château de Targé in Parnay is a really great place to stay (the pool is uphill in the vineyard, incredible).
Indeed the Loire Valley is an ideal place to explore for tourists. France is not only Paris and tourists who want to see France outside Paris are our favorite :)
Courtney!! Thank you so much for your recommendations. I've saved them all for the next time we head to the Loire Valley :) I'm very intrigued by the pool situation at Château de Targé in Parnay!

Bethany, thank you for the loveliest and kindest words. I definitely recommend it and I hope you get to soon because I'd love to hear what you think!
Dreamy! And major Bridgerton "promenade" vibes for sure :) Adding this to my list of places to visit en France!!
Haha yes, definitely! And I'll go back with you!!
This was the dreamiest read!! And, I’m drooling at everything you ate! x
I am still thinking about everything we ate. How I wish I could enjoy a hot chocolate with breakfast every day!!

Thank you, Sarah! Film is my favorite to shoot and it's always a treat when I can include it in my newsletters.
Oooh that dessert looks amazing - it was so fun to live vicariously through you!
I'm still dreaming of it!! I think you can relate that strawberry desserts are superb!
Strawberry desserts are the best kind!
HOW DREAMY!!!!!
The French countryside makes it so easy !!

You're welcome any time!!! I will also go with you to any chateau because I loved the "lady of leisure" life even if it was for a few days lol
haha thank you!! So happy I'm getting to rewear it again ☺️
