I always see people sharing what’s on their wishlist, but I don’t often hear about if they’ve stuck with those wishlist items. Not that you need to of course, we can always change our minds and things don’t always work out as expected. Ideally, we’re always making intentional purchasing decisions but from experience that’s a battle in itself. If you’re curious and missed my spring wishlist newsletter, you can read it here. In today’s post, I thought I’d take you through what I’ve bought and tried so far!
Let’s start with what I’m still searching for, or better yet, trying to hit the checkout button on.
Black Sandals
I generally struggle with finding shoes because of my narrow feet. Most strappy sandals that look cute for most people rarely ever work out for me. I have these Essen sandals in mind, but I am hoping to try on a few other styles before officially deciding on Essen. It’s not that I don’t like them enough, I’m just a little worried they won’t fit (even though I’ve been assured they should!). I’d also have to pay to send them back if they don’t fit which gives me pause. If you have any suggestions, drop them below!
Two other options that caught my eye: the Nodi and Elliot from A.EMERY. I really like the Buttermilk and White options too.

T-Shirts
This should be a no brainer, I love Cos t-shirts — but I’ve been so focused on finding things not in my closet that I have neglected picking up more of what I know are true winners. I know I will be buying more of these shirts in the future. I was recently on Cos’ website and saw they now have a wide selection of colors for spring and summer. I’m loving these blue and striped green options!

I’m also into this ribbed tank and slightly oversized shirt from COS.
I tried the Juan tank in black and my first impression was that it was nothing to write home about (yet here I am lol). The scoop cut was higher than I had anticipated and it didn’t help that I was in a rush. It was a quick 30 second try on, which if you know me, isn’t nearly enough time to make a decision. I didn’t get any pictures or videos to simmer on, so I’ll try it on again when I have a bit more time to contemplate. *Adds to never ending list of to-dos*
Satin and Cotton Pants
I ordered these Satin pants from Vince during their friends and family sale hoping to snag a good deal. I knew the fit was something I liked and would work for me. Unfortunately, the color was not what I expected and ultimately I made the decision to send them back.
It was a mix of a muted lime green with some yellow tones. It’s hard to even describe and I was equally perplexed when I tried to take a picture of it — it never showed up as its true color through the lens of a camera. I would rather wait for the Bona or black version even if that means paying full price.
Lightweight Cardigans
I sort of failed in this department too but not for a lack of trying. I want to pick up another Gaspard, but I’m overwhelmed by the color options. I like too many of them and I can’t quite decide on which way to go for my next one. Does anyone else experience decision fatigue when there are too many options?
A few that I’m eyeing:
This rosewood color that I find to be the perfect pink hue
This red option that’s often sold out
A light beige color that can be worn all year round
This camel color I can see myself wearing fall into winter
I still very much want this, but still need to try it on.
Colorful Accessories
I didn’t manage to buy anything in this category but I did manage to narrow down some pieces I liked — like these earrings for example. I find them beautiful and not super costume-y. I love the yellow color option but haven’t quite committed to it yet.
I also love the shape of these earrings. They are subtle and would make a great addition to a summer wardrobe.

Wishlist Winners
You’re probably starting to wonder, so what did you buy? Isn’t this a majority of your wishlist? I had hoped that by reviewing these quarterly it would normalize that most people cannot buy everything on their wishlist. Could I? Technically, yes. But should I? I don’t think so.
I’m a slow buyer — you’ll often hear me talk about how it takes me months to come to a decision. That’s often to my demise, but that’s just part of the shopping cycle for me. If it’s for me, I’ll find myself in its way and it’ll eventually come home with me. I can’t always splurge on shoes or a bag just because. That doesn’t mean having those items live on my wishlist for many months at a time makes them any less worthy. If anything, it just makes the reward that much sweeter when I can acquire an item I’ve been coveting for months.
This reminds me of
’s How are people affording fashion? article. The reality is that many of us can’t afford our entire wishlist in one go. Even if we could, I think that pattern would push us into purchasing things we don’t truly love.Okay, off my soap box — back to what y’all came here for.
Tank Tops
Well, technically I had scoop neck tanks on my wishlist but potato potato. I found this tank that’s become one of my most worn pieces. I’ve talked about it before and for good reason — she’s that good. I will be buying this in white in the future.

Linen Cotton Blend Trousers
This was a bit unexpected, but I saw these and fell in love with the pinstripe. I also fell in love with the vest and the blazer. I still need to get the length tailored — currently I have to fold them at the bottom to wear with flats. The waist is a tinge big, but with a belt they fit perfectly.
Can I also add that my thighs can breathe in these? I’ve tried on so many dressy pants and I often end up feeling defeated. Not in these, when I put these on and I fell absolutely, madly in love. FWIW, it took me a few months to purchase these.
Elevated Tops
I saw this vest and it reminded me of the ones on my list. While it’s not exactly what I had envisioned, she’s perfect for me. Note: this is why I love generic wishlists (stay tuned for more on that later). I’ve gotten so much wear out of this piece and I just love wearing it as a shirt. It also solidifies the fact that I want more of these vests.

I also purchased this top with lace detailing. I mentioned it on my instagram stories a while back while searching for elevated tops. I’m a sucker for embroidery — it’s hard for me to walk away from these types of pieces.
I love this one because I know I can easily dress it up or down depending on where I’m headed. It’s also perfect for the scorching summers we tend to experience in ATX.
Did you have a spring wishlist? I want to hear how it went for you and what you purchased! As always your support means the world to me. Any time you like, comment, subscribe, share my work, etc I am giddy on the other side of the screen. Thank you so much for being here.

Do you mind sharing where your black cropped tank that you wore with the bona pants is from? I need a cute tank with thicker straps like that.
Our wishlists are on the same wavelength! Also waiting for those bona pants to come back….
