This post was perfect. I love Paris, but every time I’ve been there — I always feel an undercurrent of melancholy. Not sadness per se, just bluesy! You’ve captured this perfectly here. Ps I love your bag, it’s gorg and worth the scuff/stain stress. 🤎
Ofelia, I’m so excited you got to visits the states. I loved seeing what you enjoyed eating being back (how did I not know about the cookie cake?!) I purchased and used Act + Acre (the scalp serum and the scalp relief system). I have to say the shampoo and conditioner were truly no good for me; they made my heart both too *squeaky* clean and left my scalp greasy. I’m sad to say.
you must try it next time you're at costco !! that is a bummer on act + acre, it sounded so promising, but I appreciate the intel! was all of it a pass for you?

I had fun refreshing and seeing your beautiful photography (the blazer + brooches image was calling my name). How nerve-wracking for you and your family. I'm so glad you were finally able to make it home to see them and meet your niece ❤️
Thank you, Tina !! ❤️ You'd be happy to know that the blazer was thrifted by my friend and the seller put all the brooches on before selling it. She ended up seeing another one of her creations in the wild and turns out she does that often! I hope to run into her in the future in hopes I can find one for me.

They didn't have it at my local bookstore last time so I went with The Catch, but I'll go have a look tomorrow.

Your trip home, albeit delayed, are reminiscent of our trips back. As expats I feel you on the birthday celebrations acutely. I'm pretty sure the last one I celebrated was my 18th before I left home the week after.
After being able to spend this birthday at home, I hope there are many more in the future. I didn't realize how much I missed them. It makes me wonder if it feels different for people born around the holidays were traveling is more common.
