Now that the weather has stabilized and I’m finally experiencing what feels like a true spring, I thought I’d share another installment of what I’ve been wearing lately — specifically in the past week.
ps — if you missed it, I wrote about how to get dressed in the varied conditions of Spring. I hope it offers you some inspiration or at least helps you establish a baseline as you get dressed in this transitional weather.
Day One
The weather felt phenomenal, especially in the shade as the sun bounced off the buildings. I reached for my linen trousers (similar here), pairing them with a crisp blue button down (flat lay version here) and slipping on my beloved flats (on sale!). It was the perfect day for a little rendez-vous.
I made my way across town to the Arts-et-Métiers neighborhood to meet a friend for coffee. We went to the Summer Fridays x Café Kitsuné pop-up — partly curious about their drink options and partly hoping for samples. As luck would have it, we scored a mini version of the Jet Lag Mask and the mineral sunscreen with our purchase.

Day Two
A few days earlier,
had sent me a photo of one of her necklaces with a head to toe white outfit. She looked so effortlessly chic (as always!) and I’ve been on a mission since then to create something similar with my own spin.I find pairing off whites and cream together a bit tricky. While there is no wrong way to do it, I’ve learned I prefer when the shades of white match more closely. It just feels more cohesive to me.
I reached for my favorite oversized white button down, and a beloved pair of jeans. Surprise! I reached for my brown flats yet again. I layered on some necklaces, but I was feeling playful, so I decided to add a neck scarf to the stack. I couldn’t quite tie it how I had envisioned but sometimes experimenting is half of the fun.
My outfit felt very spring-y to me, so I topped it off with my teeny tiny straw bag before making my way to meet a friend for a morning park hang.
ps — I felt a little silly carrying a small bag in Paris during the daytime. I love a tiny purse, but something about this big city makes it feel even tinier.

Day Three
I think we all have one outfit that lives rent free in our minds each season and this is mine. I felt effortlessly chic with minimal effort (a rare feat!).
I credit this feeling to two pieces I adore on their own and love even more together — this sweater from Gillian Stevens (gifted) that I haven’t been able to take off since it arrived and these striped cotton-linen trousers (same fabric, different cut) that are a comfortable alternative to jeans during the warmer months. There is something magical about outfits that just make us feel so seen.

Day Four
This day turned out cooler than expected. I initially tried pairing my tuxedo trousers with my off-white denim jacket, but it didn’t quite work how I had envisioned. Instead, I reached for my vintage black Levi’s and wore my denim jacket as a shirt.
I had first thought of leaning heavily into accessories for this outfit, but I unbuttoned the jacket's sleeves and scrunched them up to show some skin as an alternative. After all, skin is an accessory too! As it got chillier, I let them fall down for warmth.
I know what you’re thinking — “again with the flats?!” At this point, you should be more surprised if I’m not wearing them. What can I say, I love them and probably will never shut up about them. Note to self — I should really get the red color.

Day Five
Admittedly, I wore this outfit a few weeks ago, just with different shoes. I really wanted to wear my tuxedo trousers again. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I decided to just embrace the look.
Our friends had just arrived into town and we were going to be roaming around Paris. I opted for a comfy pair of sneakers (on sale here) this time around. My feet were thrilled and my flats got a well deserved day off!

Day Six
The day before, I tried pairing a grey version of this sweater (pictured below) with my tuxedo trousers, but it didn’t work like I had envisioned. I then reached for the brown version and paired it with another pair of denim from Mother.
I started the morning in my usual suede flats. In the afternoon, a package from Soeur arrived (my first PR from a French brand !!). I was so excited that I switched into these (gifted) for the rest of the day.

Day Seven
I had an early morning OFII appointment — it’s a required appointment by the French government where you take a French exam, sign an integration contract, and enroll in civic classes. I ended up pre-planning my outfit to maximize sleep the night before.
Truth be told, I wish I had a grey version of this cardigan. I did my best to bring that vision to life with this one that I love to drape over my shoulders. I layered a tank underneath and grabbed my comfy Buck Mason pants.
After the appointment, we were headed to the Loire Valley, so I knew I wanted something that was roomy for the car ride. Also, my luteal phase had me feeling bloated. TMI? I hope not.

What have you been wearing this spring? Any new combinations you’re loving? I’d love to know!

What I Wore In Paris This Week
In case you missed it, my husband and I are in Paris for the next few weeks visiting family, vacationing with friends and overall just relaxing from the wild year we’ve had. We’ve never taken a vacation this long and stayed in one place to truly enjoy our days without any set plans. We’ve been waking up and deciding at the last minute what we want to do…
